‘ATTACK ON TITAN’ SEASON 2 RELEASE DATE NEWS
“Attack on Titan” season 2 release date news indicate that fans of the franchise can finally get to enjoy the next installment in 2016.
Thankfully, fans now have a date to hold on to two years after “Attack on Titan” or “Shingeki No Kyojin” first got a fan base in 2013.
“Attack on Titan” director Tetsuro Araki confirmed in a recent press conference for “Attack on Titan Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow” – which is a live action version of the hit animated series – that “Attack on Titan” season 2 release date news will be sometime in 2016, according to Anime News Network.
Apparently, “Attack on Titan” makers were far too busy this year that they were not able to focus on “Attack on Titan” season 2 – hence the delay.
The animation’s first season already covered the manga’s first 34 chapters, including “The Fall of Shiganshina,” “104th Trainees Squad,” “The Female Titan,” and “Battle of Trost District.”
This could only mean that the manga is now only 2 story arcs ahead of the animation. That said, it was only understandable that Araki opted to wait out a bit longer before giving away any confirmation regarding “Attack on Titan” season 2 release date news, as reported by Cross Map.

According to the rumor mill, the franchise’s second season will be focused on the battle between the 104th Trainees Squad and the Titans who have already gotten through the wall. Plus, the story will also discuss how the King was overthrown because of corruption. This revolt – which will uncover the secrets about the Reiss family – will reportedly be led by Erwin Smith.
Come “Attack on Titan” season 2 release date news, it will finally be revealed to everyone that the Reiss family is actually the true royal family within the kingdom. One surprise, though, is that it the second season will also reveal that the members of the Reiss family have the ability to transform themselves into Titans.
